Ahhh to relax and enjoy a perfect cup of coffee while catching up on a play date, attending an international story time, or shopping for a unique children's toys and books. New event website for SF families

This interactive site has tens of thousands of family activities for kids here in the San Francisco Bay Area. The goal was not only to provide one place for moms/dads to
look for what's out there, but to quickly narrow down the options and find
just the right one.

Check out the filters and the breathtakingly easy-to-use calendar view -- it's like the kayak.com of kid activities. Oh, and then you can sign in with one click and your Facebook credentials to post your plans to your Wall.

Our target city for launch is San Francisco, but we've already started
expanding to the Bay Area due to requests from our pilot moms and
businesses. There's nothing to stop us from adding Prenatal Yoga in San
Diego, Free Museum Day in D.C., or Mommy & Me Fly-Fishing in Bozeman.

Please pass this along to anyone in your network who has kids, who knows
people who have kids, or who was ever a kid themselves.

Finding quality daycare is one of the most important things you can do for your infant or toddler. Asking the right questions can help you find the best provider. Interviewing a daycare provider for your infant or toddler can be overwhelming. Be prepared with a list of questions that are important to you before you go. It is important to have open communication with your daycare provider in order to provide the best care possible for your child.

Do you charge for holidays and sick days?
Do you have a written contract?
Do you provide back up care in the event that you are sick?
How often do you close?
What are your fees?
Do you offer sibling discounts?
How much notice do you require if my child will be leaving your care? Daily Routine
Do you have a daily schedule?
What meals do you provide?
Can you accommodate food allergies?
What is your policy on bringing food from home?
Do you offer field trips or visits to the park?

Picnic and a train...

The Golden Gate Express Exhibit @ The Conservatory of Flowers is the perfect setting for a picnic in Golden Gate Park.

All aboard The Golden Gate Express for a San Francisco holiday experience like no other! This winter, the Conservatory of Flowers premieres its first garden railway exhibition. It's a celebration of the city of San Francisco as model G-gauge trains wend their way through a lush landscape of dwarf plants and steam past mini versions of the city's landmark buildings. From Mission Dolores to the Golden Gate Bridge, Coit Tower to Chinatown's dragon gate, replicas of San Francisco's most famous places are set amongst miniature gardens and parks to create a magical setting for this special holiday attraction. Visitors will also enjoy a vintage train station seating area, appearances by costumed conductors and interpretive materials about the development of San Francisco and its railways.
