Where can we get a Car Seat Safety Check?

I've left messages with CHP, AAA and the Lucile Packard Hospital. Any other suggestions? It doesn't look like we're going to be able to get our car seat checked anytime soon. Shouldn't there be a drop in place where someone can simply inspect our installation? We are intelligent/competent people - so I would expect that we did a farely decent job. But we just want to double check since every parenting web site in the world recommends that you do! Thanks -
