Oberlin grad with experience seeks part-time nanny position
I recently returned to the bay area after living in NYC for the past 5 years and am looking for a childcare position. I am an artist with a graduate degree in the visual arts and have several years of experience teaching art to elementary school-age children. I currently substitute teach at the San Francisco Day School where I have also worked as a full time associate teacher in the past. Additionally, I have quite a bit of experience working with younger kids - I have had jobs as a nanny for toddlers in both San Francisco and New York. When I worked as a nanny in San Francisco before, I had the pleasure of getting to know the intimate details of all the resources San Francisco has to offer kids. As a teacher, I have extensive know-how for constructing a full day of diverse activities for kids and for providing a well-balanced rhythm to the day.
I have found that being an artist makes me a great nanny. I have a curiosity for the world around me that is well matched for most children, as well as a creative, patient and open approach to life.
I have a car and a clean driving record and will happily provide references on request.
My email address is cybele_lyle@yahoo.com and I can also be reached on my cell phone at 415-420-6136.
I have experience with sharecare and would welcome working out a sharecare arrangement.
Sincerely,
Cybele Lyle
