Excellent Nanny Experienced In Nanny Shares
My name is Katherine C., and I am looking for a new position in August 2011. I am currently a full-time nanny participating in a part-time share-care, but one family is have another little one (and does not need regular hours), one family is enrolling their daughter into preschool, and I am going to return to full-time school as soon as I get into SF State or USF (I am currently taking three classes per semester with a 4.0 G.P.A.).
My ideal schedule would be 3-4 ten hour days, although I am very flexible, and willing to work with family (ies) to find a match that works for everyone involved. I am open to a share-care situation as well. Please note that I do not drive, but am a huge advocate for DAILY outdoor time, and plan many adventures, including the zoo, rec. centers, playgrounds, storytime, the beach, the Academy of Sciences, Yerba Buena Gardens- the list is endless :)
PT nanny :)
Dear Moms and Dads,
I have always loved spending fun and quality time with children all my life and this is the reason why I have chosen the nanny career.
While studying at the university I spent every summer in Switzerland working with babies and toddlers and being part of their wonderful families. I was also very fortunate to participate in a training program in Finland where I was working with babies, toddlers and young children up to school age. It was amazing to experience and be part of one of the most wonderful and successful school systems in the world.
I have been working as a nanny the last 6+ years and I am lucky enough to have the most wonderful job in the world! Being a nanny is a combination of all the things I am: an educator, a friend, empathetic, grounded, fun loving and silly.
Currently I am looking for a part time job starting mid June but my schedule is very flexible and it could be adjusted to your needs.
Please feel free to contact me if you think I would be the right fit for your family.
There is a book/song by Sandra Boynton (she is one of my favorite children's book authors) and when I read it I thought it was written about me :)
Here it goes:
I like you a lot
You're funny and kind
So let me explain
What I have in mind.
I want to be Your Personal Penguin
I want to walk right by your side
I want to be Your Personal Penguin
I want to travel with you far and wide
Wherever you go, I'll go there too
Here and there and ev'rywhere
And always with you
I want to be Your Personal Penguin
From now on.
Now lots of other penguins seem to do fine
In a universe of nothing but ice
But if I could be yours and you could be mine
A cozy little world would be twice as nice
I want to be Your Personal Penguin
I want to talk with you night and day
I want to be Your Personal Penguin
I want to listen to whatever you say
Full Time Nanny Share starting March/April 2011
Hi,
My name is Niran. We recently had a baby girl and are looking for a Full Time nanny share starting March/April 2011. Our baby will be 3 months old at the end of March.
We live in Potrero Hill. Our preference is to co-host and for a full-time schedule (M-F, 8-5). If you feel this is a fit (we are flexible), please contact me at niran.bosch@gmail.com. Thanks!
Share our wonderful nanny
Howdy,
Our daughter is 15 months old and we have a wonderful nanny who has been with us for a year. We're now looking to share our nanny on a part-time schedule, something like 12-6 M-F. (She is available to do full time, but we would only be sharing during those hours.) We are located in Hayes Valley and would be happy to host or cohost. My husband and I are in our late 30s/early 40s and do a combination of medical administration and fine art. (Not at the same time, though! :) ) Our daughter Harper likes reading, listening to music and dancing, and in general she is very active and does a lot of outside play with our nanny, Meri, who is bilingual (Spanish) and came highly recommended. She has a degree in childhood development and always keeps her CPR training up to date. She manages that magical combination of professionalism and fun that is exactly what we had hoped to find for Harper and for us. She is always thinking up new places to go and new activities for Harper, and always communicates with us clearly about what Harper was up to each day. She is also extremely prompt and dependable. We do have her speaking Spanish with Harper, but not exclusively.
We would prefer to find a family with a child in the same age range or within six months in either direction and, if at all possible, nearby, but of course that's like winning the sharecare lottery, so we are open to discuss other options.
Thanks,
Jennifer
Wonderful FT Nanny Available
Our nanny Amanda has taken loving care of first our son and now our younger daughter, both from the age of 2 months. Our 2-1/2-year-old daughter is off to preschool this fall, so Amanda is now looking for a new full-time position. She is extremely responsible, incredibly patient, very loving, and our children simply adore her. She is devoted to children, treats them like her own, and has become a part of our family. Amanda set up a regular daily routine for our kids and within that routine actively engaged them in all sorts of activities: going to the park and museums, reading, playing, painting, drawing, singing, dancing. Our children learned their alphabets and acquired a love of reading from her, but also learned to converse in Spanish. To keep us informed of what happened during the day, Amanda helped us keep a daily record of what and when the kids ate, slept, and pooped.
Amanda is very punctual, trustworthy, and has never taken a sick day during the five years she worked with us. She works 50 hr/wk for us, but during her 12 years experience as a nanny has worked longer for others and taken care of more than one child at a time. Amanda's own home is meticulously kept, and she always cleans and tidies up after all the kids' activities. For single childcare, she is happy to do laundry (our kids clothes was always carefully folded and beautifully organized), housekeeping, meal preparation, errands, and shopping related to the childcare. Although we did not routinely ask Amanda to do extra babysitting during weekday evenings or on weekends, she was almost always available and happy to do so whenever we needed her.
We did not have a spare car to lend Amanda, and she didn't need one because she could walk or take public transportation to many activities from our home, but she has a good driving record, and other employees have trusted her to drive their children around the Bay Area. Public transportation limits her to working within San Francisco. Her primary language is Spanish, but she speaks decent conversational English (all our communication with her was in English). Amanda is a US citizen, Trustline Registered, CPR certified, First Aid certified, TB tested negative. If you wish a resume with other references listed and a full reference letter from us, please respond by email to jli@itsa.ucsf.edu. You can also call Amanda at 415-672-1394.
Nanny share available in Noe Valley
We are currently in a share care arrangement with another family, who decided to move out of town in early September.
We have an amazing nanny (Irish) and our daughter (now 18 months) adores her. We don't want to loose our nanny and therefore looking for another family to join our share care. We live in Noe Valley and have a spacious place to host the share care.
Our nanny is very active and engaging with the girls, reads books, takes them to story time, daily outings to the park/play grounds, music class and organizes play dates with other nannys. She is extremely reliable, never late or missed a day and she also takes care of her own health and never was sick.
She is on the spot in her work. She prepares fresh food for the girls and keeps the play area/ toys extremely clean. She keeps us up-to-date about the day; sleep, eating, mood etc. and sends pictures of their activities as well.
We are looking for a family with a child close to our daughter's age (18 months), who is looking for a full-time share care arrangement (Mo-Fr, 8-5) starting early September. We would also be open to arrange with 2 families.
If you would like to know more, please reply to this posting.
Thanks!!
