"Have you ever noticed that even today in the year 2008, virtually every children's book you pick up portrays the mom character doing domestic tasks, often wearing an actual apron?

We have spent a great deal of time working with public library personnel and other experts to compile a list of books for kids that feature moms who work outside the home.

For many of us, these uncommon books illustrate a far more realistic picture of family life than all the classics put together."
